In Altium Designer 20 the Content Vault is not accessible via the Explorer panel per default. This article describes how you can make the Content Vault accessible via the Explorer panel again.

How to access the Content Vault in the Explorer panel?

In earlier versions of Altium Designer it was possible to search for parts directly in the Content Vault using the Explorer panel. In Altium Designer 20 this search was replaced with Manufacturer Part Search.

The direct access to the Content Vault in the Explorer panel can be enabled in the Advanced Settings dialog again.  

To open the Advanced Settings dialog go to Preferences ► System  ► General and click on the Advanced button.

Search for Explorer.ShowContentVault and enable the option in the Value column.

Altium Designer must be restarted in order for the change to take effect.

After the restart you will be able to use the Explorer panel for your part search directly in the Content Vault again.
