How do I reset Unique IDs in version 21 and newer?

For AD20 and older, I used to follow this documentation: https://www.altium.com/documentation/altium-designer/sch-dlg-resetpartsheetsymboluniqueidsreset-part-and-sheet-symbol-unique-ids-ad?version=20.2 Now the option is gone.

Starting in Version: 21
Up to Version: Current

Solution Details

Note that the compiler does not detect duplicates of connectivity-independent UIDs, such as those for Parameter Sets, for example. However, with version 21 and newer, duplicates of these UID types are automatically corrected when a document is loaded.

If you are still having issues and wish you could bring back the menu item, here's how you can get it back:

1. Right-click the top bar and click on Customize
 
2. In the dialog that opens click on new

3. In the next dialog, fill in the fields as described here, then click Ok
Process = SCH:ResetUniqueIDs
Caption = &Reset Component Unique IDs…
Description = Reset Component Unique IDs

 
4.  Afterwards, you will see a new entry in the [Custom] category

5. Drag select it into the top bar to install the command

6. When you use it, choose the following settings
