Accessing A365 Managed Project GIT Repository Outside of Altium Designer

Created: March 25, 2021 | Updated: August 12, 2021

Is it possible to access the Altium 365 git repository through a command line without opening Altium?

Solution Details

If the VCS location of a managed project is known, then it is possible. Access to Altium Designer is required, where in the Explorer panel, a managed project under version control will display the VCS location, such as the following image as an example:

Once the location is noted, you can use third party software, such as TortoiseGIT, to obtain a local copy of the project from that destination. However, the end result is exactly the same as opening a managed project in Altium Designer, which is a direct feature that is more efficient and user friendly.
